This website has been designed to inform and engage with the broader Dubbo community about what's happening with our hospital redevelopment.
In December 2013, the NSW Government allocated another $600,000 to commence planning for the next stages of the Dubbo Hospital Redevelopment to ensure it can meet the future needs of the community.
On 22 January 2015, Health Minister Skinner and Member for Dubbo Troy Grant announced the NSW Government would commit $150million to deliver Stages 3 and 4 of the redevelopment.
To take advantage of the NSW Government’s additional commitment the next stages of the redevelopment, the Renal Unit works will now be delivered at the same time as Stages 3 and 4 of the project.
Including the Renal Unit works in Stages 3 and 4 means that it can be delivered as a new build instead of a refurbishment, which is a great outcome for patients and staff.
The new stages of redevelopment of Dubbo Hospital is something the community and staff have been eagerly anticipating and we are well on the way to realising our dreams of a new and improved health service, following the completion of the clinical services building in November 2016. Dubbo Hospital has a long and proud history of delivering the best health service available for the community and its surrounding areas and we need a health service that can adapt and grow with us.
I’m confident the redevelopment will not only secure Dubbo Health Service as a leading referral centre in regional NSW, it will also create a more welcoming and vibrant place where everyone can live well together.
